Real Madrid footballer Gareth Bale has called off the wedding to his longtime Emma Rhys-Jones.
The wedding that was supposed to hold this summer has been called off amid family turmoil and a rift involving his fiancee’s dad. It has been postponed until next summer after a “rollercoaster” year.
A family member said Emma, 26 is secretly happy of the postponement because it will give her time to get in shape after having the couple’s third baby, Axel and also make use of the opportunity to make peace with her dad, Martin Rhys-Jones, 54.
“There’s so much family turmoil right now. They want things to settle down before tying the knot. They are still very much in love but they’ve had a lot of issues to deal with.” said a family member.
Gareth Bale’s fiancee, Emma had a huge fall out with her dad, Martin after he moved in with a Russian florist half his age just few weeks after he was released from jail in the US where he served six years for a £2million international fraud.
