Nigerian musician, Tekno has been arrested for dancing in Lagos traffic with strippers.
Tekno whose real name is Augustine Kelechi was picked up by the Lagos State police after commuters in the Lekki side of Lagos complained bitterly of having seen the Nigerian afro-beat singer dancing in a vehicle with half naked girls.
It was being speculated that the act was a publicity stunt for an advertisement for a strip club but the 26-year-old singer has since denied it saying “We were shooting a music video, and we had shortage of vehicles to convey people to the next location.”
The police confirmed that Tekno and two other girls seen dancing in the vehicle that had glass sides at the back has been arrested. The police spokesperson said “such acts of indecency” were against the criminal code and they could be charged to Court after investigation.
Tekno who featured in Beyonce’s recently released album, The Gift had an explosive tell-all interview with daddy freeze where he explained why he has been absent from the music scene for sometime now and he also revealed that he was almost broke because Ubi Franklin and Iyanya took approximately 60% of his earnings at the time.
Slim Daddy as the musician is fondly called has since apologised for the whole incident.
