American rapper William Leonard Roberts II, known popularly known as Rick Ross has finally revealed what led to his seizures and eventually his hospitalization in 2018.
The 43 years old “port of Miami” rapper in an interview with people magazine talked about his new autobiography which is titled “Hurricanes.” The book chronicles the rappers life, childhood, stardom, rap beefs and his all round battles.
He revealed that the inspiration for his book came after his near death experience in 2018 after he was hospitalized for having seizures.
“When I woke up in the hospital and I had so many people around me, so many homies, it felt like I was in V.I.P. or some s—,” he said. “But it was more like ‘Damn, we gotta do some special things.’
“It was the codeine. That mixed with the things I was drinking, the other drugs I was doing, and on top of not resting. [I don’t think] one particular thing would have killed me. But everything combined?”
